Let’s Support Them Like They Support Us

We are so very thankful for the safe house that has agreed to help us with our ladies.

Their focus is on gender-based violence and they agree with us that the sex industry is a form of GBV.

On Friday when we dropped GG off to start her healing journey, we were met by a number of very strong women and their children who have escaped from awful abusive situations. We sat and heard some of their stories and as we spent time in the home we took note of a number of urgent needs that the safe house currently has. I’m going to share them with y’all and hopefully someone can help or at least share the post to get the needs out there. Below is the list of needs…

  • TV (They do not have a tv at all, it gets quite boring being in the safe house and having nothing to do.)
  • Microwave
  • Bedding
  • Blankets
  • Washing machine
  • Towels
  • Toiletries
  • Candles or rechargeable lights
  • Toilet paper
  • Groceries
  • Vegetables
  • Cooking pots
  • Oven tray
  • Womens clothes sizes xs to xl
  • Shoes size 3-7
  • Boys clothes size age 6-7
  • Girls clothes size age 5
  • Toys (the children have no toys at all)
  • Craft supplies (keep them busy)
  • Books – preferably female novels and children’sbooks.

The more we can empower the safe house the more ladies and children they can take in and help.

Please help us as we help them.

We would also like to give a shout out to Wicked Donuts for the big box of donuts and to SA Harvest for the cabbages and meat bones (and the donuts) which we donated to the safe house. You guys are awesome, thank you for the support.

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER
