FREEDOM DAY!!

This past weekend we buried our sweet Lithemba, and today we rescued his Mama from a brothel.

Freedom is not free, it comes at a cost, both financially and emotionally.

Today was a roller-coaster of emotions as we fought for “A”, trying to find her a safe place to stay until there is a long term solution for her freedom journey.

To restart her life cost us financially, and it’s the same with all of our trafficking /sex industry survivors. Paying off brothel debt, purchasing clothes, toiletries, groceries, paying shelter rent fees, fuel costs for the traipsing around the city looking for an open safe place for her, it all takes a toll on the bank account, but watching her have the freedom to choose new clothes and shoes was a joy, she has no family, no one, and last week her precious 7 month old son passed away in the baby home, so now she is all alone in the world, apart from us. Our team is now her family, we have committed to loving her and protecting her from the industry.

We have promised to never leave her alone in this world, and we take that commitment very seriously. Our mandate is to love unconditionally, no matter what.
