Freedom posts are my favorite kind of posts. It’s currently 3.22am and my insomnia has me wide awake and thanking God for Thursday’s beautiful unfolding.
She is free! She got to the end of herself and she asked us to help her leave the sex industry, we answered her plea and swiftly removed her from the room in the basement of the brothel and ushered her into her new life. I can’t believe how smoothly the extraction went, it was flawless and my heart was bursting as she climbed into the shower at the safe house and realized that the water was hot. “Mommy it’s hot, hot water, I can’t remember the last time I had a hot shower.”
Her beautiful face was grinning from ear to ear as she covered her entire body in soap, laughing as the hot water washed away the dirt, aches and pains. Clean pjamas and a robe waited for her on her new beautiful bed. A suitcase of new clothes and a teddy bear, toiletries and FREEDOM.
My heart for this particular girl is that of a Mama bear. I have loved her and her toddler son for 3 years, I’ve fought for her freedom and now it is here and it couldn’t be more beautiful. My heart is overflowing with joy, peace and love. And I am beyond thankful for @lizamoroney and the rest of our team for fighting with me to free this darling girl.
Our other survivor “GG” was so excited to see “A” free and has promised to help look after her, along with the other women and girls in the safe house. The unity and love from the other women is just so beautiful. Freedom is Holy. And what an honor to be part of their journey.
